Exclusive interview: Player says losing to Chelsea in huge game “hurt so much”

There is an exclusive interview out today that Chelsea fans will be very interested in reading.

Four Four Two have the exclusive chat, and it will take Blues fans back to a very happy time at the club, one that many will remember as their best ever time supporting the club so far.

The exclusive is with former Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger. He was involved in what most will say was the best ever game they have watched Chelsea play as a Blues fan, I know it has been for me so far.

Chelsea won that Champions League final against all the odds. We were given no chance all the way through the competition, and we battled with every bit of effort, blood, sweat, and tears to lift the most prestigious trophy you can lift in domestic football.

For Bayern players though, it hurt a lot, and Bastian has been reliving that for the interview.

“You always think about the game that still hurts you, and that’s the one,” Schweinsteiger said. “Our club president, Uli Hoeness, said it was the biggest match in his life, so it was painful being one of the guys who missed a penalty.

“We had a problem – we didn’t have a lot of players able to take the penalties, which is why Manuel Neuer was our third taker. I was ready for it. Of course you’re tired, but that’s not an excuse.
