It looks like there has been another official offer submitted to buy Chelsea Football Club, according to reports breaking this afternoon.
We have already previously heard of an offer going in from Todd Boehly’s consortium last week, but now there is a new bid on the table.
It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!
According to Reporter Ben Jacobs, Saudi Media have made their offer today to buy Chelsea FC after Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale last week, and then was sanctioned by the UK Government.
A sale is still allowed, and it will need to go through the Government now to make sure no profits got to Abramovich himself.
The Saudi Media group reportedly are not connected to the Saudi Government and the leading part of the group, Mohamed Alkhereiji, is a Chelsea fan also.
There is is support in finding funding and partners (but not financial backing as far as I am told) from Mohammed bin Khalid Al Saud. What's interesting about Khalid Al Saud is he's also chair of Saudi Telecom Company (STC).

The reason I say this is because STC couldn't be part of a consortium (without significant issues) and if Chelsea do change shirt sponsor it would more likely be NEOM or Saudi's new national airline. KSA's focus is to use sport to promote global tourism not MENA business.

It seems like this one really has some legs now after starting to hear whispers of it last week.
