Chelsea have made an official offer to sign a new midfielder in the final days of this transfer window.
The blues have already added Romelu Lukaku up top, and are heavily linked to signing a new centre back as well, but a new centre midfielder could also now be arriving.
According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have made a loan offer to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder, Saul Niguez. The offer includes an option to buy, and he says that Niguez is ‘set to leave’ Atletico and is ‘ready’ for a Premier League move.

Chelsea lost Billy Gilmour to Norwich on loan so there is space in the midfield for another player to come in, although this move would really cast doubts over the futures of both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu, who would have thought they both had chances to take that fourth midfield spot for the coming season.
