In the 26th minute of this evening’s Champions League final, it looked as though Manchester City were about to take the lead against Chelsea.
Ilkay Gundogan drilled the ball into Raheem Sterling, with the winger laying it straight off to Kevin de Bruyne with a tidy first-time pass.
De Bruyne drove into the box before cutting it across to Phil Foden, the wonderkid was in quite a bit of space and fired a left-footed shot towards the corner, it looked destined to hit the back of the net…
Somehow, Antonio Rudiger slid down and blocked the ball with an incredible last-ditch stop, the strike rattled across the centre-back’s calf and the danger rolled away.
WOW!

Who would’ve thought that Rudiger would end the season as a potential Champions League final hero after such a difficult time under Frank Lampard?
It’s been a very open first 45 minutes in the all-English final, both sides have showed their dangerous threat going forward.
