As the transfer window approaches it’s final week, Frank Lampard’s search for a new striker continues.
All the talk has been surrounding their pursuit of Edinson Cavani from PSG this week, with that saga looking no closer to conclusion as I type.
However, the main talk before the Cavani noise started up was about The Blues interest in signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
Whilst everything pointed towards that not happening as all three parties pretty much ruled it out until the summer at least, Chelsea are allegedly weighing up another offer, according to Footmercato.
Since that report came out, The Sun have gone one step further and suggested that Chelsea are actually back in talks with Lyon over signing Dembele this window.
Interesting late developments, and could have a significance on the Cavani pursuit, who has eyes on Atletico Madrid as well as Chelsea.
Things are set to heat up as we move in to the final days of the window.
