Confirmed Chelsea injury and team news ahead of Lille clash

Chelsea are preparing for a huge match against Lille tomorrow evening in the Champions League group stages.

The Blues need a win, or will have to rely on other results in order to advance to the knockout stages of the competition and avoid slipping down into the Europa League instead.

Chelsea are the home side in the 8pm kick off tomorrow evening and will feel confident of getting the result, despite suffering a few hiccups in the league recently.

Frank Lampard has been addressing the media from Chelsea’s training base in Cobham, and he will know the importance of bouncing back and getting the three points needed to advance tomorrow.

Having lost 3-1 to Everton at the weekend, you would hope that the players will get themselves fully up for this one.

Lampard was faced with a number of questions concerning potential injuries to any of his squad and he has been responding, as reported by Football London.

He said:

“He [Antonio Rudiger] is in the squad. It is good to have him back. Tomori is out, he has had a bit of a hip issue. Olivier is out as well.”

So will Rudiger start tomorrow?

Lampard “Potentially difficult. But we have given him a lot of work. He has come through that and he looks fit and ready to go, I know he is hungry.

“He is a good defender, you miss those individuals. And then see what he can bring for us.”
