Rumours of Chelsea takeover continue as uncertainty around Roman Abramovich’s future grows

It’s not just Chelsea’s playing squad whose futures are in doubt at the moment.

The whole club seems to be spinning in uncertainty, and that goes all the way to the top of the pile.

Roman Abramovich can’t even come into the country at the moment, so we shouldn’t be surprised he’s been linked with selling the club.

The Russian billionaire is increasingly at odds with the UK government, and today’s copy of the Mirror has more whispers linking British petrochemical billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliff as interested in buying the club.

He’s certainly got the cash for it, and if Roman wants to sell its a deal that could suit everyone.

Chelsea fans won’t be too sure how to feel if the man who built the modern club leaves, but they will be happy to at least see some change in direction for an organisation that seems to be drifting worryingly at the moment.

Of course there’s no guarantee that things will get better, but many Blues would be happy to roll the dice.
