Chelsea first team endures another embarrassing result after Man City loss

Members of Chelsea’s first team was reportedly involved in a practice match on Tuesday with the club’s youth team, weren’t even able to beat them, to compound Maurizio Sarri’s woes.

The loss to Manchester City last Sunday was expected to bring out a positive response from Sarri’s boys, but they have looked short of confidence since. Even in training, according to Daily Star the spirit in the team seemed crushed. Sarri did not look as lively either and the general feeling is, there would be a few more losses in the coming months.

The first may have come in the most unlikely manner. According to the Times, the Blues senior team drew 3-3 with their junior counterparts in a training match. Sarri threw in the likes of Willian and Olivier Giroud plus a few more internationals against the youth side but managed only a draw.

The game lasted 60 minutes and was played over four quarters. The Italian manager would hope for a quick recovery from his players as they shape up for a Europa League knockout match against Malmo FF on Thursday.
