Multiple Champions League winner linked with Chelsea summer switch

After a barrage of bad news and leaks in the last couple of days, the media have started looking into Chelsea’s future rather than just inspecting the wreckage that makes up the present.

Now we’ve all had enough time tearing apart Maurizio Sarri, we can focus on who might replace him (forgetting of course, that the Italian is still actually in a job).

The Sun are one of many places reporting that former Real Madrid manager and legendary France star Zinedine Zidane is the man in the frame to be the new Chelsea boss.

That would make sense from a prestige point of view. He’s a big enough name from his playing days, let alone the three consecutive Champions Leagues he just racked up as Real manager.

He would also seemingly be the perfect man to persuade Hazard to stay, so that’s an added bonus.

But is he up to the task of rebuilding this entire squad, possibly on a relative shoestring?
