John Terry linked with move to China

It was always going to happen eventually, but that doesn’t make it any easier for Chelsea fans.

John Terry, the club captain and one of the last true links to the club left in the squad, has been linked with moves abroad – more specifically with a move to China, according to the Daily Mail.

It makes sense. Terry is out of the first team for the first time in year, and with Kurt Zouma returning from injury in the coming weeks the former England captain’s chances will be reduced even further.

The Mail claims that Terry is already an ambassador for Guangzhou Evergrande and that the Chinese Super League club want to make that deal a playing contract in the summer.

The 35 year old’s contract with Chelsea expires in the summer, and given how reluctant the Stamford Bridge outfit were to offer their captain a deal last year, it will probably take another intervention from Antonio Conte to stop Terry leaving as a free agent this year.
