(Video): Chelsea player’s positional mistake allows Man City to score potential winner

Chelsea, after being the better side all game, have conceded a late goal against Man City.

We’re not surprised, and you’re not surprised. It’s one of the immutable laws of football. If you have a lot of chances and miss them, you’ll end up losing. That’s especially true when you face a team like Man City. No matter how badly they’re playing, they’re never out of it.

The ball was played across the box by Kevin De Bruyne from the byline, and Djordje Petrovic (who has been excellent) got a toe to it. It fell to Bernardo Silva, and with Marc Cucurella having been sucked into the middle leaving the Portuguese free, it was a simple task to turn the ball in.

Well, simple for a Man City player. A Chelsea player would never have scored from there.
