Around lunchtime yesterday, Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard released this update on the Chelsea managerial sitaution.
It was packed with interesting snippets for the Blues fan looking to find out more about what on Earth is going on at the club, but one part of it in particular lit up a debate on social media.
One of the names linked with taking over the job is Laurent Blanc, former PSG and Bordeaux manager, and that really generated a negative reaction from the assembled online fans.
As always, the reaction on social media was very much worth reading, with the vast majority throwing their weight behind the other options listed by Johnson rather than moving for Frenchman Blanc.
The board will pay no heed in the end of course, and will pick who they want, but it’s interesting to see which way the wind is blowing…
