Exciting new midfielder the only absentee from Chelsea squad ahead of Stoke clash

Chelsea will be without Danny Drinkwater in their Premier League game against Stoke City this weekend after Antonio Conte confirmed this in his pre-match press conference.

The new signing has not yet featured for his new club since his arrival on transfer deadline day. Other midfielders, Tiemoue Bakayoko, N’Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas have filled positions in the middle of the park in his absence.

Antonio Conte will have to depend on the dynamic trio in the game at Stamford Bridge as quoted by Liam Twomey of ESPN on Twitter.

Other expected absentees from the game were Tiemoue Bakayoko and Pedro.

The former had been involved in a car accident on Thursday, on his way from training while Pedro suffered some ankle injury in Chelsea clash with Arsenal. It seems however, both are fine to play against Stoke City.

Chelsea will head into the game against Stoke, lying three points off leaders Manchester City and United, who have 13 points respectively.
