Antonio Conte speaks ahead of tomorrow’s Real Madrid clash

Chelsea are preparing themselves for the second International Champions Cup match as The Blues will face Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium, and Antonio Conte has spoke about the upcoming fixture.

The full squad is finally present as the newest signing N’Golo Kanté has today arrived for his first training session with his new club, after completing a £29m switch from Leicester City two weeks ago.

Conte gave a brief comment on how things are with the Frenchman, as he seems extremely happy with Kanté’s attributes, Chelsea’s Twitter account states.

His (Kanté’s) condition is fantastic. He’s a runner. He has great stamina. He has fantastic endurance, he’s in good shape.

He doesn’t speak a lot but he does fight – a good guy, humble and with a great will to work.

The Italian reckons Kanté as a bit shy person, but believes once he adapts into the rest of the squad, he’ll be more comfortable with speaking.

I think N’Golo is a bit shy. He just arrived and he must take confidence with the club, his team-mates and the manager.

It’s unsure whether Kanté will be yet making an appearance tomorrow, but Conte has confirmed the goalkeepers ahead of the sold-out clash.

Begovic is a good goalkeeper. Tomorrow we start with Begovic and in the second half we’ll play Courtois.

The players have been experiencing possibly the toughest summer of their careers, as Conte has put the players to work – a lot!

Hence he states that the players have to be even more focused on their playing, as they’re tired, and suffering from fatigue.

I hope tomorrow to use our minds, when you are tired it’s important to use your head to improve with and without the ball, I hope to see this but I know after two days it is very tough to play these type of games.

The former Juventus manager, and player, has also praised the Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane how fascinating it was to play alongside him.

There was me, Deschamps, Davids and Zidane. A good midfield! It was fantastic for me, he was a genius.

Chelsea were already proven victorious in the first game of the campaign, when Gary Cahill’s goal carried The Blues into a solid 1-0 win over Liverpool on Thursday morning.
