Noni Madueke did JUST what you’d want a player to do in that situation. And exactly what he was brought on to do. He attacked Diogo Dalot down the outside where he’s not comfortable and got into the box rather than passing it square.
He got himself in front, Dalot stumbled and brushed the speeding winger. Penalty. 98th minute Cole Palmer… always scores. 3-3. A strange, strange day.
UPDATE:
Hold on… corner to Chelsea, no Man U defender come to Cole Palmer who receives it short. He then lashes it towards goal – it deflects. 4-3, hattrick, Chelsea win. The whole season might have turned on that moment, and either way, it was one worth waiting months for.
Insane.
CHAOS at Stamford Bridge, truly one of the greatest games this stadium has seen, at least in terms of pure excitement.
