Chelsea are back in the game!
After a dreadful start to the match, including conceding a genuinely awful goal.
But from nowhere they’re back in it – Nicolas Jackson burst down the right of the box and flashed a rather fortunate shot which should have stopped, but instead went through Ilan Meslier’s legs. Noni Madueke and Moises Caicedo had linked up nicely to create the space for Jackson’s run.
We hope this isn’t just a flash in the pan and actually leads to some good play. It should at least give an injection of confidence

For all of the criticism he gets this was a really good “striker’s finish” from Jackson. He was already in the 88 percentile for non-pen goals according to FBref and that was before this goal.
