Mauricio Pochettino calls Chelsea player who could leave this summer “priceless”

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea have now won two important games in a row at the perfect time.

The pressure was building on Pochettino and the players, and the win at Aston Villa last week and then at Crystal Palace last night, came at the best time to try and calm that pressure, shut the noise down a little, and build some momentum going forward.

That’s exactly what they did last night, but they didn’t make it easy on themselves. The first half was very poor from Chelsea and represented much of the same as we have seen this season when they try and fail to break down a low block.

But they deserve full credit for not giving up and turning the game around with two late goals to win it.

Conor Gallagher was pinnacle to the win, scoring two goals to equalise and then put Chelsea ahead. His future is still uncertain at the club, and Pochettino has just referred to him as ‘priceless’ – it’s pretty clear what he wants!
