This is the time to bet big on Chelsea turning their season around in crucial January

Just as things looked to have started going well at Chelsea, they’ve slumped back to the worst of times. It’s been a while since things were so toxic in the fanbase and online, and pundits all over the world have been getting their knives out this week.

Promising performances against Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham led plenty of us to believe that we were finally getting into gear after a nightmare 12 months. But a comprehensive – and at times embarrassing, defeat to Newcastle last weekend has reminded everyone of how far we have to go.

It’s even causing major questions about the whole project – do these owners have any clue? Do the sporting directors know what they’re doing? Is the manager the right man? Are the players the right players? This is the deepest the doubts have been since the spring, when our last nightmare campaign ended and we felt we were finally, surely at a nadir.

The fixtures don’t get much kinder in these next few weeks, and to be honest, if you’re ever wanted to bet on football at Betiton UK, this is a great chance.

Well – assuming you believe in Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino. Some are starting to have doubts, but if you’re a believer, this run of games makes a brilliant opportunity to make some money.

Chelsea have never been such long odds to reach the European places (well, at least since last season…) so this week marks the perfect time to put a futures bet on the Blues and pray they improve as the season goes on.

Pochettino has been telling us for months that the missing ingredient here is time. The new players need to bed in, the old players need to build chemistry with the new players, and the injured players need to come back.

If you’re buying that, we can expect things to slowly but steadily improve through the season. Certainly they can’t get much worse. So have some faith, put your money where your mouth is, and back your team to prove everyone wrong and surge back into contention.

Let’s not forget, January can change all this too. What if Christopher Nkunku comes back next week, then we sign a classy striker when the window opens in less than a month’s time? You could be laughing all the way to the bank with the sweet odds you picked up now while the team is struggling.
