But the future of Romelu Lukaku will once again be coming to the forefront in the summer when his latest loan move, this time at Roma, comes to an end.
There has been a lot of reports suggesting that Roma have an option to buy the on loan Chelsea striker, but one journalist has thrown shade of doubt over that happening now and actually claims that Lukaku has already accepted an offer to go and play in the Saudi Arabia league.
Journalist Fabio Santini, speaking to TV Play, claims: “Lukaku? It’s difficult to see a return with Juventus because he has already said yes to a million-dollar proposal from Saudi Arabia. To Roma fans, I say that at the end of the year one thing is certain: Romelu will leave”.
This is a huge claim to make and we will have to wait and see whether it comes to fruition or not. Lukaku was always so adamant that he wanted to play in Serie A and at least stay in Europe, but perhaps the big money offer is too big to turn away now at his age.
