Mauricio Pochettino was asked about Moises Caicedo’s improving form in the press conference yesterday, and whether we were finally starting to see the best of the Ecuadorian.
“It’s about time,” the coach responded, although he seemed to mean it more literally than as an expression of frustration.
As Pochettino pointed out, the midfielder had had no preseason and was playing catch up on the rest of the league – as well as playing in a team that was struggling desperately to fit together at times.
Now it all seems to be clicking, and that includes Caicedo. We hope to see him go up another gear tomorrow.
