Young Chelsea player has been told he has ‘a chance’ of being a starting CB at Euro 2024

We are now deep in to the international break and there is plenty of Chelsea players playing for their countries in a host of competitions and friendlies.

Many of them are playing Euro 2024 qualifiers for that competition next summer.

Sources: Chelsea targeting 8 potential new strikers for January!

England of course are doing just that, and they currently have three Chelsea players in their current squad, with Raheem Sterling being harshly left out after being in good form so far this season.

There was a first ever senior callup for defender Levi Colwill, but he is yet to make his debut. That should soon come and in fact, journalist Ben Jacobs says that Colwill has even been told that he stands a chance of being a regular starting centre back for England at the Euros next summer.

Jacobs was speaking about it in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for SPTC today, and he addressed Colwill and England.

Jacobs said: “I would expect Levi Colwill to make his senior England debut against Scotland on Tuesday. Colwill hasn’t just been earmarked as a potential squad player. He has been told he stands a chance of being a starting centre-back at Euro 2024. That’s why it was so important to him over the summer to get a clear plan from Chelsea before signing his new deal.”
