Chelsea have been linked with many different players over the last few transfer windows, some of the interest seemingly more serious than others.
One player they seemed really keen on trying to sign for some time was midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.
At the time it looked like their was issues with him getting a VISA to come and work in the UK due to him being Russian. But the player has been asked about it today and according to him, he just chose to join Real Sociedad instead of Chelsea.
He even explains his reasoning, albeit a little bit confusing and not clear.
In words picked up by Sport Witness today, Zakharyan said: “For me it was more interesting to come to Real than to Chelsea. It was also a more realistic option. And here I am.”
I am sure there is more than meets the eye with this one, it seems like we don’t even know half of the story here.
Or maybe the player just didn’t want to join Chelsea and decided to go elsewhere. Either way, he is at Real now and so be it!
