Chelsea player admits that Mauricio Pochettino is ‘tough’ with him

One current Chelsea player has admitted that Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has been showing him some tough love so far this season.

But he also says it’s a good thing because it is probably what he needs.

Sources: Chelsea creating relationship with Ivan Toney in similar way they did to land Moises Caicedo!

Noni Madueke describes Pochettino as a great man-manager in some words today published on the Chelsea website. And the England U21 international is full of praise for his new manager.

Pochettino has been known for this side of his management and how he is so good at creating relationships with players and creating a good atmosphere for success within the camp. And it looks like that is exactly what they are trying to do right now.

Madueke says it is a culture where all the players and staff become ‘brothers’ off the pitch as well as on it.

“He’s tough with me, but I probably need that,” said Madueke. “He knows when to be really tough with me and when to put an arm around me. I can’t fault him. He’s a really good man manager. He’s created a culture where we are brothers off the pitch.”

It’s a great sign for sure. But we all know the atmospheres in football clubs stay good when the result stay good and things can soon turn sour. Chelsea need to get results on the pitch alongside this positive atmosphere they are creating.
