Andriy Shevchenko is doing a brilliant thing with his “Game4Ukraine”, raising money for victims of the barbaric Russian invasion. But the noble cause at hand wasn’t going to stop TalkSport getting some football questions in.
Sheva was asked about his countryman Mykhailo Mudryk, who has had a tough start to life at Chelsea. As you’d expect, former Blue Shevchenko put up a fierce defence of the young winger, claiming that the pressure on him from the moment he arrived, and the context of the team he was playing in, had made success almost impossible.
Maybe it’s just his nice suite and good looks – but we’re really buying this story. Mudryk already looked better in preseason, and we can’t wait to see him
