Chelsea turn to 5 Moises Caicedo alternatives with one being 29-year-old PSG man

Chelsea have reportedly turned to five alternatives to Moises Caicedo with Brighton still not budging on his fee.

According to The Evening Standard, Caicedo wants to move to Stamford Bridge but Brighton are not willing to lower their asking price and Chelsea are considering alternative options.

Sources: Midfield pondering: Moises Caicedo, Tyler Adams, Edson Alvarez, Andrey Santos & Reece James!

But really, when you see the ‘alternatives’, none of them are even close to Caicedo and it really is becoming quite laughable at this point.

Brighton reportedly rejected an improved £80million bid for Caicedo last week and value the Ecuador international at over £100m.

Just pay the extra £20m for Caicedo and get it done, no!???

Anyway, according to the report, the five alternatives are Ajax’s Edson Alvarez, Leeds United’s Tyler Adams, Everton’s Amadou Onana, along with a more attacking option in Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga.

The final one is PSG’s 29-year-old midfielder Leandro Parades! I know right? Have we gone back to 2017!?

Pochettino has a lack of depth in central midfield and worked with Paredes at PSG. He’ll also be available on the cheap due to having a year left on his contract.

I’m speechless, to be honest…. NONE of these names are even close to Caicedo. Yikes.

  1. I don’t think Chelsea have walked away from Caicedo yet. The move for Ugochukwu seems telling, as rumor has it he was/is Brighton’s top target for a Caicedo replacement. Although Chelsea may not be prepared to fork over the full 100m Brighton are demanding for Caicedo, they may be looking to do some sort of swap or loan with Ugochukwu included in the deal.

  2. K.KOUNE has to feature as the next option!
Stop insisting on Brighton, who have used CFC as ass wipe through all their dealings!
    – overpaid for CUCURELLA
    – overpaid for SANCHEZ (3rd string keeper)
    – overpricing us out of CAICEDO
-Arm twisted us for the COLWELL loan
    SMFH!!!
