“Find another midfielder” – De Zerbi with some latest words on Moises Caicedo to Chelsea

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has been taking questions once again on the future of his midfielder Moises Caicedo, with the Ecuadorian hoping to move to Chelsea this summer.

It was a night of press conferences ahead of more games out in the USA for both Chelsea and Brighton, and De Zerbi was speaking to the media.

Sources: Chelsea in ‘aggressive’ new contract talks with defender!

He has basically said that he will be happy if Caicedo stays, but if he doesn’t, then they will find a replacement for him.

De Zerbi: “I am ready to play with him but we have to be ready to find another midfielder if Moises leaves.”

These words will be encouraging for Chelsea fans who are hoping to get Caicedo to Stamford Bridge this summer, because he is far from closing the door on it happening.

Negotiations have been going on for a long time now, and frustrations are starting to grow for everyone involved and Chelsea fans.

You wonder how much longer Chelsea are going to be prepared to work on this one before giving up. But it doesn’t look like they will be yet.
