Mason Mount looked sad as he toured an emptying Stamford Bridge after full time of the last game of the season, and he then amped it up even more when he went for a lap of the empty stadium later in his tracksuit.
This looked like a man saying goodbye to the place he’s had a lot of good times over the years, a place he will have aspired to play in for years as a kid in the academy.
He had Billy the kitman next to him, arm over his shoulder, as the truest representation of Chelsea around.
It was a sad sight to see. If anyone had any doubt that this was the end, they don’t any more.
