Chelsea are expected to announce Mauricio Pochettino as their next permanent manager this week now as it looks like the final agreements are finally close to being signed off.
Frank Lampard will stay in his role as caretaker manager until the end of this season, and then Pochettino will take the reigns in the summer.
CBS insider Ben Jacobs has the very latest all on Pochettino, and much much more in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea FC column for Si & Dan Talk Chelsea.

Pochettino has clearly been pondering taking this role long and hard, having been unsure on taking it when the new Chelsea owners first bought the club.
Jacobs says Pochettino has been making sure to ask a lot of questions about the role on the whole, and exactly how much control he will be getting with the decision making. It seems that Pochettino likes to be quite hands on, and that’s a good thing.
“It is now expected that Mauricio Pochettino will take the job,” Jacobs said. “Chelsea now have no doubts he’s the right manager for the job. It’s just a case of finalising the deal.
“Pochettino has had a lot of questions. Part of this is down to getting clarity over his role and how much control he will get. And he has wanted to understand the outgoings situation and any recruitment plans in place that pre-date him.
“Pochettino is seen as the right fit and if all goes to plan, Chelsea are confident of appointing Pochettino this week and he’ll start next season.”
