Chelsea were very much just another spectator in Manchester yesterday watching Manchester City’s championship winning party at The Etihad.
City saw off a weak and terrible Chelsea team and then went on to lift the Premier League title at the end of the game. City were already confirmed champions before the game and to add insult to Chelsea’s injuries, they had to do a guard of honour for the City players as they came out of the tunnel.

City didn’t even get out of second gear to win the game and they even rested a few of their regular starters. Chelsea have been terrible all season so it was no surprise to see them lose again.
Gary Neville was commentating on the game and he believes that Frank Lampard looks on and just doesn’t like his players. He’s probably not wrong, many of these players are simply just quite unlikeable!
In words picked up by Football London, Neville said: “Every time I look at Frank Lampard he’s got a look of a manager who doesn’t like his players. Chelsea need the end of the season, badly.”
