Wesley Sneijder names Chelsea player who “really is a waste of money”

Chelsea are being rinsed out there right now by the media, rival fans, pundits, and by former players.

Things are going from very bad to very worse for the Chelsea owners after hiring their third manager in one season last week.

Sources: Chelsea prepare fresh new terms for Mason Mount!

Frank Lampard has come in and lost two games on the bounce and not scored a single goal, and many are not only questioning this decision, but questioning many decisions that the new club owners have made since coming in – especially all the money they have spent.

The latest former player turned pundit who is criticising is Wesley Sneijder, who used to play for real Madrid and Netherlands.

He was watching Chelsea’s defeat vs Madrid last night and singled out Wesley Fofana as being a waste of money.

As cited by Sport Witness, Sneijder said: “That Wesley Fofana too, recruited for €80m, that really is a waste of money. Maybe the pressure is too high at such a big club.”

Personally I disagree. Fofana has been superb for Chelsea since returning from injury, and one bad game does not make him a waste of money.

  1. Fofana needs to show he can play at the highest level. Yes he’s done well since coming back from injury but he doesn’t look composed enough to play at the top level. He jumps in all the time, makes stupid fouls and doesn’t read the game well enough. Very concerning performance. He needs a big performance in the second leg to show that he can compete at this level

  2. well, I think the return of Lampard as coach is a clear indication that, chelsea’s vision we saw during ROMAN ABROMAVICH that brings somany victory/trophy is lost. Now chelsea are gone back 2 raligation treatning days. I dont see anything good coming out of this set-up. They are now playing politics not football (Chelsea fans should embrace 4 worst days ahead/ more lost until rightful things are done

    1. Oh look another five minute glory hunting fan. I remember the days when the teams mocked for being followed by plastic glory hunting fans from round the world all played in red. Now as a blues fan of 53 years I see we have them too. There was a rebuild from the Bates era and the Abramovich one. If you cannot wait because it doesn’t happen overnight there are plenty of other clubs out there.

      1. It’s true but most people are not seeing this
In my opinion chalobah is still better than him in this team he only need chance in proving himself he has been playing well in big games as well we could also remember in all the games chalobah starts how many did Chelsea loose ?

  3. Exactly..wot was point of replacing an up and coming mediocre manager (potter) with a very average lamps who will never achieve anything in management. there’s gd managers on market while we sit with finger up the bum with lamps a host of top clubs will cherry pick those available. Being a top club was gd whilst it lasted but gone forever now.
    RIP my beloved Chelsea!!

    1. What is happening now in Chelsea, we can’t blame any coach for our performance the players are the cause all of them are not determine to play for the club are all going after big money.
Most of them should be sold or send back to their various clubs where they come from, can’t imagine the way way they play against Madrid, those players sold the game to Madrid.

  4. As a Chelsea fan I find this one-step-forward-and-two-steps-back culture, developing at Chelsea, very annoying. Juggling these incompetent English coaches for the sake of pleasing the local Chelsea fans is tantamount to courting relegation. Mind you, the possibility of that (ie relegation) is not far fetched any more this season.

  5. Chelsea is a massive club. The owners too who have just taken ownership are massive. This has been shown by their massive investment. One thing to be known is that things do not change overnight. If one loses patience then so many clubs are out there but as for us, we shall cling to the ship.

    1. CHELSEA IS GONE …WITH WHAT AM SEEING BRIGHTON’S WILL ALSO DEFEAT US COME TOMORROW WE LACK CREATIVITY.AND TEAM SPIRIT

  6. Another chelsea waste has come to say a player is a waste of money and so called chelsea fans are agreeing with him. Instead of talking about our fowards we want to criticise Fofana who has been excellent throughout the season except for yesterday

Chelsea fans can be jokers sometimes

  7. The owners are not ready to do business. Their decisions soon as they took over were hasty, impromptu and irrational. They took away Tuchel, Cech and Maria without spending some time with the Chelsea on ground hierarchy to understand the workings and techniques of the team. They was no patience with the old order to enable them inherit the winning mentality of the Abramovich Era. There’s nothing to achieve by doing everything possible to please the locals. Chelsea is a global brand, hiring and firing of head coaches must always reflect this global nature.

  8. Chelsea problem isn’t couch, there problem is the players aren’t serious, they are so weak, look Wesley fofana look at covacic look at chilwel this people aren’t playing with there mind

  9. Maybe you maybe not. Fofana bcuz he’s the only one who drives the ball to the opponent third half.it was the Yellow card that affected him.

  10. Those who pressured Abramovich to sell Chelsea football club, should sick for forgiveness. I believe that’s the only solution.
