Today’s big football news is the huge list of charges the Premier League are making against Man City, claiming the Champions have inflated their revenue over the course of many years.
Inevitably, talk of dodgy spending has come back to Chelsea, who just spent more than a quarter of a billion pounds in January. On Sky Sports Jay Bothroyd said “Chelsea will be sweating now.”
“How are they going to explain their finances?”
We can’t be bothered to explain the difference here, but what Chelsea have done and what Man City are accused of doing is quite different.
