Romano drops verdict on Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to MLS claims

Fabrizio Romano has given his verdict on the news that Chelsea striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang might soon be heading to the MLS in America.

It looks like it might be one of his only few ways out of Chelsea should he want to leave before the summer, when European transfer windows open again.

But it looks like he will want to wait and go somewhere in Europe, according to Fabrizio Romano writing in his exclusive CaughtOffside column the Daily Briefing.

The striker is having big problems at Chelsea and was not even in the latest match day squad after being removed from the Champions League squad in order to make way for new signings.

He has become out of favour with boss Graham Potter and it looks like he will soon be heading out of Stamford Bridge after only arriving in the summer as part of Thomas Tuchel’s recruitment wishes.

Romano says: “MLS clubs are interested in Aubameyang but I’m told on the player’s side there’s no green light yet on this kind of solution, he prefers to continue in Europe as of now so nothing advanced at this stage.”
