Even though Chelsea were super busy in the transfer market in the summer, and are arguably even busier right now in January, they are still expected to be big in the market in the summer of 2023.
January has not even finished yet, but Chelsea’s massive squad rebuild is likely to spill over into another transfer window, with other areas on the pitch still being looked at.
The new owners are doing all they can to land big targets and important players all across the pitch, and they may well turn attentions to the attack again in the summer, particularly a striker, or a real number 9, with this area still lacking.

He says that Chelsea have a real opportunity to sign Juventus front man Dusan Vlahovic in the summer.
Jacobs said: “Don’t rule out a striker [Chelsea for the summer], because there could be outgoings in that area (and it’s not totally guaranteed Joao Felix will join permanently). As revealed in December, there is a real opportunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic this summer and Chelsea are one of the clubs interested.”
