Chelsea have appointed Paul Winstanley to their recruitment and scouting team, and on Talksport they discussed how much of a blow this was.
Clearly the Blues consider him a big part of the successful transfer windows that the Seagulls have had in recent years. But nobody is sure how big a part Winstanley played.
The debate also rests on whether Chelsea are actually raiding the Brighton brains trust, or are in fact just being sold the spare parts of a machine that they won’t succeed outside of.
Time will tell.
