(Video): Graham Potter says Chelsea “took a step forward” in Man City defeat

Graham Potter has just had his flash interview with Sky Sports after the game and said there was a “lot to like” about his team’s 2-0 loss to Man City.

We want charisma, arrogance, standards, passion. Instead we get – realism?

You can’t say he’s wrong – we had good moments, we made chances, and we looked better than we did against Arsenal.

But saying you “took a step forward” as you pick up your 3rd defeat in 5 is a little rich when you’re Chelsea coach. Lowering expectations never works out for managers here.

You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here:

  1. I would have more respect for him if he actually said what is on his mind.
The first step forward would be to leave Cucurella as far away from the pitch as possible….and sat next to Pulisic and Ziyech.
