Player ‘discussed’ by Chelsea in the summer ‘is open to’ leaving his club

Chelsea were linked with quite a few players in the summer just gone as the new owners came in and got their feet under the table.

Todd Boehly was doing it all, from chairman to chief transfer negotiator, to head scout! He certainly soon got in the swing of things meeting agents and clubs in an attempt to search for new players to bring into the Chelsea squad and improve it.

Sources: Chelsea’s true stance on signing Cristiano Ronaldo revealed!

One of the names linked was Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard. The versatile defender was under consideration by Chelsea as they looked for a number of roles to add to at the back.

Will Chelsea reignite that interest?

Fabrizio Romano has the latest on this in his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside.

He says that Pavard is open to leaving Bayern Munich and would love to move to the Premier League.

“Pavard was discussed with Chelsea last summer but was not a top priority; now it’s normal that clubs are keeping info on him as Pavard is open to leave Bayern in 2023,” Romano said.

“He’d love Premier League move I’m told; but there is still nothing serious.”

To be honest there hasn’t been any rumours suggesting fresh interest from Chelsea yet.
