Key Chelsea player weighs up Stamford Bridge exit

Chelsea have a number of players with their futures in doubt for different reasons.

Some have contracts running down and are considering whether they want to extend or go elsewhere to a new challenge. Others are just simply considering leaving the club for other reasons such as lack of game time.

Sources: Chelsea make contact with agent of Leandro Trossard ahead of January move!

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has seen his regular number one spot drift away recently under Graham Potter, who has preferred Kepa Arrizabalaga over him, at least until the Spaniard picked up a recent injury.

But it looks like Kepa will be the go to number one for Potter, and that has made Mendy consider other options.

The Daily Mail report that Mendy’s future is uncertain heading into the World Cup with the goalkeeper contemplating a possible exit amid concerns his first-team chances will be limited.

The goalkeeper remains hopeful that he can convince Potter that he deserves to reclaim his position as No 1 but there are fears that the Blues boss has already decided that Arrizabalaga is his number one.
