Edouard Mendy’s injury has meant two starts in a row for Kepa Arrizabalaga under Graham Potter, allowing the Spaniard to make an impression on the new coach.
Potter has so far refused to say which is his first choice stopper, even when the question was put to him pretty directly in the press conference today.
He will have to make the switch back to Mendy at some point, and with the Sengal stopper now apparently fit, the race is really on to establish themselves as the incumbent going forward.
