Chelsea as always, have a number of their current players out on loan with other clubs for their development.
Many of these loan deals are straight forward season-long loans. But Chelsea have a trick up their sleeves with a few of these loan deals.
Deals such as Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan have a clause in the contract that means Chelsea can recall the winger in January, should they wish to do so.
With Chelsea’s managerial change since Hudson-Odoi got his move to Leverkusen, there are chances that he might be recalled in the winter window. Graham Potter will assess what he has and other situations and circumstances, and this could end up meaning that he will want Hudson-Odoi back in his squad.
The winger himself has remained very open to that happening and says that it is not up to him, and he will do whatever is required of him, in recent comments relayed below.
Callum Hudson-Odoi:
"We don’t know what'll happen between January, or from now until the end of the season, so we just wait and see. But right now, I’m just focusing on playing as much football here as possible and trying to help the team."
