(Video): “I haven’t scored in a while” – Good time to score says Mason Mount

England drew 3-3 with rivals Germany last night in the latest round of international matches.

It was a very enjoyable game to watch and provided goals and entertainment. England thought they had completed an unreal comeback from 2-0 down to go 3-2 up. But then Chelsea’s Kai Havertz scored his second goal of the game to shut that off.

Mason Mount also scored on the night, and he badly needed that goal. The Blues midfielder admits that it was a good time to score after not having got on the scoresheet in a while. He was all smiles after the game as you can see in the video below.

Mason Mount: “To score at Wembley is such a special moment, it means so much. I haven’t scored in a while, so it was a good time for it to come. It was a tough game and to be a couple down its tough to come back. We showed how much desire and fight we have as a team. A lot of positives to take.

“The World Cup is what you dream of as a kid. It’s soon going to be upon us and I can’t really put it into words that first game. To be involved in it is going to be an unbelievable moment for us all.”
