Christian Pulisic’s quotes on being dropped for the Champions League second leg against Real Madrid are causing quite a stir, especially in his native USA.
He blames Thomas Tuchel, claiming his was told he would play before the German coach changed his mind. Even pundits on ESPN had to admit that publishing a book about these decisions, which are part and parcel of a coach’s job, seems odd.
What we want to know is whether Pulisic added these quotes in once it was clear Tuchel was being sacked, or if he was willing to write this anyway?
