Chelsea are currently looking to sort out some player contracts as a point of priority right now.
Things have gone a bit quiet though on some of the players, and there are many futures that need to be sorted out very soon.
Sources: Chelsea start scouting in USA and have an interest in Leeds United player.
This can be said most importantly about the current midfield situation, with both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante having contracts that run out in 2023. Both players will be free to discuss and agree a pre-contract with any new club come January, which is just three months away now.
There are some big decisions to be made, and according to Ben Jacobs today, Kante has lots of clubs monitoring him right now.
But he describes Juventus rumoured interest as ‘superficial’ right now, but he does name them as a potential destination.
As he writes in his thread below, any new contract for Kante to stay at Chelsea is not close right now, and this will give potential new clubs hope that they might be able to land him as a free agent.
Suitors aware that Graham Potter's arrival may change the Kante situation, although currently no contract extension is close. Potter has always been a big fan of Kante from afar and now keen to assess his form and role when fit.

As an aside, Juventus also considered a loan with option to buy for Christian Pulisic over the summer. Pulisic keen to link up with Weston McKennie but in the end, after some internal talks, no offer was made.
