‘Forever remembered’ – Chelsea legend gives verdict on Thomas Tuchel sacking

The dust still has yet to settle for many Chelsea fans upset over the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, and understandably so.

The German had a very close connection to Chelsea fans all around the world, most of which seen him as one of us. Football can be a cut-throat business and these things happen all the time. Tuchel will be absolutely fine, but that doesn’t change the emotions that fans are feeling right now, many of them voicing these feelings to the new owners since the day Tuchel was sacked last week.

Chelsea legend Pat Nevin is one of the biggest Chelsea fans around, and he has touched upon the sacking in his latest column on the Chelsea website today.

Nevin says that Tuchel will be ‘forever remembered’ by Chelsea fans across the world for the work he has done at this club, and how he saw us through a tough period.

Nein says: “It is only right to mention that Thomas Tuchel will be forever remembered for bringing the Champions League trophy to the Bridge after that magical night in Porto. He also helped guide us through the tough times of Covid and then the difficulties of sanctions, staying calm and controlled most of the time, while under great stress and uncertainty.

“We have to accept a major change, but that is life and for the club there are certain to be exciting new times ahead.”
