Chelsea debating whether to offer current midfielder new contract extension

Chelsea have many big decisions to make now under the new ownership group, and some of them involve new contracts.

The club are weighing up who to offer new and extended deals to right now, and who to let go or try and sell before their contract runs out.

Sources: There are people on the new Chelsea board who really want to bring Declan Rice back to Chelsea!

There are two midfielders currently in the team who will need their contracts sorting out very soon, that is because both N’Golo Kante and Jorginho have contracts running out in the summer of 2023 which is fast approaching.

According to The Telegraph, preliminary talks have been held over trying to extend N’Golo Kanté’s contract. But the club are also debating whether or not to offer Jorginho a new deal or not.

Kante has obviously struggled with injuries but will be still seen as a very important player for the club unanimously. Jorginho will naturally divide opinions a bit more and a decision will need to be agreed on here.

  1. Extend Kante to retirement, & release Jorginho…
Kante’s injuries, plus Kovacic’s own, came from work overload, unlike ‘Sloth’ Jorginho, (that even a referee had once outpaced on the pitch), who hardly ever gets injured bcos of his lethargic play.

  2. The only reason Kante gets injured so much is because he plays along side Jorginho. Because of overload of work that’s the reason he’s always injured and most times playing along side Jorginho. Extend Kante contract and let Jorginho to start looking for another club by January. His business with Chelsea is done

  3. Please extend kante’s contract.
I can recount multiple occasions when jorghino will lose the ball in dangerous areas resulting in us conceding unnecessary goals. He is a huge liability
