Kai Havertz is the latest Chelsea player to give his verdict on the sacking of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea’s head coach a couple of weeks back.
Things have moved fast since then and Graham Potter is obviously now the new head coach at the club. But the decision at the time caused some outrage amongst many Chelsea supporters who adore Tuchel. But the new owners of the club made the decision and Tuchel was out the door.
Sources: Chelsea start scouting in USA and have an interest in Leeds United player.
The players have all been having their say on the sacking and largely they all just seem to be taking it on the chin as being part of football and the business. And it is really.
But Kai Havertz has been clear that you cannot pin the sacking on a bad start to the season, because he feels it would be harsh to call it that due to all the new players coming in and needing time to gel.
Kai Havertz on Thomas Tuchel's #Chelsea dismissal:
"With sixth place in the table, you can’t speak of a messed up start to the season, especially since we have many newcomers who first have to acclimitise. But football is very fast-moving, a lot can happen."
