The rumour that Chelsea are interested in Anthony Gordon caused some fans to dig up a clip of the winger pressing with insane intensity against us last weekend.
The caption was that Thomas Tuchel had watched the crazy energy from the sideline and that had been enough to convince him he wanted the Everton man.
Now of course the Tweet is a joke, but there’s no denying there could be a kernel of truth to it. Nobody would base a transfer around one moment in a game, but it could be representative of a wider pattern in his play that is interesting Chelsea.
