Chelsea played their first game of the new Premier League season yesterday, beating Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park.
It was great to get the ball rolling again this season, quite literally, and it was even better to get off to a winning start.
There was a few notable absentees for Chelsea in the squad though, namely Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner, and Marcos Alonso, with all three having doubts cast over their futures.
Hudson-Odoi has asked to leave the club, with his reps now working on a deal, whilst Alonso looks set to join Barcelona very soon.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has told Chelsea he wants to leave, with Juventus, Dortmund, and two PL clubs interested in taking him on loan. His reps have been given permission to sort a move.

In fact, Fabrizio Romano has reported that it is now just a matter of time before Alonso finally gets his long awaited and long reported move to Barcelona.
Marcos Alonso to Barcelona, matter of time as revelaed yesterday. Also Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he wants to leave: “Yes, Marcos asked to leave and we agreed to this”. 🚨🔵🔴 #FCB

It feels like the time is right for the Spaniard to depart the club, and Chelsea have already replaced him with the excellent Marc Cucurella.
Plenty of work left to do for Chelsea.
