Manager pleading with hierarchy to keep player as Chelsea hover

Chelsea are looking to try and sign one major free agent this summer, and the crucial time is soon arriving.

Ousmane Dembele’s contract at Barcelona finishes at the end of this month, meaning he is soon to become a free agent and without a club. The Catalan side could be losing a top player, but manager Xavi has been pleading with his bosses to try and make them keep the French international.

According to The Daily Mail, Xavi is making one final effort to try and persuade Dembele to stay at the club and get the hierarchy at the club to offer a deal that he will accept.

Until now, Dembele has not accepted the terms put in front of him, and unless they are improved, it looks highly unlikely that he wont be accepting them.

Chelsea, or rather Thomas Tuchel, is hovering and ready to pounce and keen on a reunion with the player, according to the same report.
