After a brilliant year as Chelsea goalkeeper, there was outrage when Edouard Mendy missed out on some of the top goalkeeper awards at Christmastime.
We all knew what was coming next – a dip in form for the Senegal stopper.
He’s still had some superb moments, but compared to his imperious and commanding efforts of last season there’s no doubt there’s been a drop off, as the keeper admitted in an interview with Sky Sports today.
He insisted the team will be back to their best though, and we hope that can start today against Wolves.
