Chelsea U23s are playing today and they are involved in a very important game.
They are playing against London rivals Tottenham U23s and relegation from the PL2 is looming unless they get a result.
Thomas Tuchel confirmed earlier this week that a first teamer or two could play in this game to help them try and stay in the league. Both he and Petr Cech will be in attendance at the game today to watch.
But not only that, Malang Sarr starts after playing for the first team just yesterday, and Trevoh Chalobah also starts the game alongside him – he didn’t feature yesterday.
New signing Mason Burstow also starts the game today after returning from his loan with Charlton last week. He was signed by Chelsea from Charlton in the January transfer window and then loaned straight back to the Championship side.
Trevoh Chalobah, Malang Sarr and Mason Burstow start for Chelsea Under-23s in PL2 against Tottenham. Only a win will do to avoid relegation. #CFC

Understand Tottenham had a request rejected to send a camera crew to Cobham for the U23 match. The reason is pretty obvious.
The likes of Thomas Tuchel and Petr Cech are watching today's match. Pressure is on. #CFC

This game will certainly attract more attention that normal now.
